Pass/Fail Test

This designates a WebTest as a Pass or Fail test with a minimum passing score that students must achieve to receive credit.

To Create a Pass/Fail Test:

1.Open WebTests under the Assignments tab in the Grade Book.

2.Select the checkbox next to the desired test.

3.Press Additional Settings.

4.Select the checkbox next to Is Pass/Fail.

5.A text box labeled Minimum Grade will appear. Type the minimum percentage students are required to score in order to pass the WebTest.

6.Place a checkmark in the checkbox next to Keep Score after Minimum Grade Met to record the final grade students receive after passing the WebTest. (If this option is selected, students will not receive an automatic 100% after passing the WebTest, but instead their final score on the assignment will be recorded.)

7.Press the Save Changes button.

Grade Book 42

If this test is to be recorded in the Grade Book, students scoring less than this percentage will receive a score of 0% for this test. If a student does not score higher than the percentage entered in the text box labeled Minimum Grade, they will receive a message stating that they have failed the exam. Students scoring greater than or equal to this percentage will receive a score of 100% unless otherwise dictated by the Keep Score after Minimum Grade Met setting. Students who pass the WebTest will receive a message stating that they have passed the exam.
